Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of horticulture projects.
Projects include paving, retaining walls, turfing, planting, irrigation, outdoor furniture, and the design and build of play installations across the public realm, residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor
Lead procurement processes including BOQs, tender documentation, and contractor evaluations.
Monitor and control costs across the full project lifecycle.
Manage customer and subcontractor accounts including variations and change orders.
Prepare and maintain project cost documentation (CVRs, CTCs), including material take-offs.
Administer contracts (NEC, JCT, and bespoke forms).
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and legislative standards.
Produce monthly financial reports to support commercial strategy.
Liaise with internal project teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and value engineering.
Support the identification and mitigation of cost-related risks.
Ideal experience of Quantity Surveyor
Proficiency in quantity surveying tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, and CATO
Solid experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties
Ability to interpret civil, external works, and landscape drawings and schedules
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
UK driving licence (if applicable)
